The Los Angeles Lakers want restricted-free-agent Eric Bledsoe of the Phoenix Suns, and are interested in a meeting with Bledsoe.
Why this makes sense:
The Phoenix Suns are already stacked in the guard department, and with looming pay raises for the outstanding Bledsoe, the Suns could be open to moving on without him.
The Lakers need a PG, as Kendall Marshall is a decent but not great option. With their draft pick of Julius Randle, they filled a need if Gasol departs, and they have Jordan Clarkson, a great combo guard, but it'd be fantastic to get Bledsoe to team up with Kobe and have Clarkson on hand to back both up. They are also reportedly interested in Isaiah Thomas.
